The Gulabi Edit — Festive 2026
Jaipur is the Pink City. This season we dressed it in its own colour: rani, gulabi and rose, worked with gota, mirror and thread.
with love from JaipurPieces for mehendi mornings, Diwali evenings and every celebration between.
Made by hand, the Jaipur way.
Hand Block Printing
Carved teak blocks, pressed by hand, one colour at a time. Our prints come from workshops in Sanganer and Bagru.
“A single kurta can take four hundred impressions of the block.”
Natural Dyes & Prints
Indigo, madder, pomegranate and turmeric baths give our prints their soft, lived-in colour.
“Indigo changes in the air. Green first, then blue as it breathes.”
Zari & Gota Embroidery
Metallic zari thread and folded gota lace, hand-stitched at the frame for celebration wear.
“We fold each gota petal by hand, then stitch it so it lies flat for years.”
Jaipur Textiles
Mul cottons, chanderi and silks sourced from Jaipur’s textile bazaars, chosen for how they fall and breathe.
“A good cotton feels cool on the first day and softer with every wash.”
Festive gold.

Your bag
Your bag is waiting for something beautiful.
It began with a single block.
“I grew up watching printers in Sanganer lift a block, breathe, and press. I wanted clothes that carried that rhythm into the way women dress today.”
Massakali started as a small studio in Bani Park with a handful of block-printed kurtas and a lot of conviction. Today it designs kurtis, kurta sets, co-ords, sarees and festive wear, working with printers in Sanganer, dyers in Bagru and karigars across the old city. The name comes from the old Hindi word for a dove: light, graceful and always close to home.
The journey so far
The first Massakali studio opens in Bani Park, Jaipur.
A first hand block-print collection, made with printers from Sanganer.
Boutiques across India begin stocking Massakali.
The Gulabi Edit launches, and Massakali opens online.
A city that prints in colour.
For centuries Jaipur and its villages have been one of India’s great textile centres. Sanganer is known for fine floral block prints on white grounds; Bagru for earthy dabu mud-resist and natural dyes. The old city’s workshops still fold gota by hand, and bandhani and leheriya are tied and dyed across Rajasthan.
Massakali designs with these crafts rather than imitating them. Every print, border and finish starts with a person and a technique.
